Happy Monday!! I am super excited to finally share this post. The last few weeks have been extremely crazy with travel, work, and the usual, so I am a little behind…

A couple weeks ago while we were on our routine LA trip, we stayed at the beautiful Hotel Bel-Air. Of all our visits, I never thought of touring this area, and apparently, I’ve been missing out. It was just gorgeous! The best part was the beautiful, luscious landscaping and gardens surrounding the property, and I’m sure you can guess who was especially happy about that!!

Seriously, the photos do not do this place justice, but hopefully you can see all the beautiful use of the outdoor space… Even the restaurants open into the outdoors. This was a little confusing for Santino, because a couple times on our walks he ran right into the Wolfgang Puck. Luckily the people at the table thought he was a cutie and didn’t get mad about it.

I got to wear some of my new favorites: Strapless Silk Romper by Parker (it is on sale, depending on where you get it) with my Celine Phantom Tote, and I have been living in those Aquazurra shoes I got a few weeks ago in NYC!!

A couple things about beauty… In these pics, I’m wearing Tom Ford lip color in Cherry Lush and Illuminating Highlight Pen in Peach Blush. Lately while traveling, I just ask the hotel restaurant for some olive oil to go and use that to remove my makeup every night. It is much simpler than carrying tons of product around on the plane and risk spilling it in my bag. Plus, it’s great for my skin and sometimes I put a little in my hair to smooth out the ends.

As always, thanks for stopping by! If I left out anything, just ask. Have a wonderful week, XO!!!

Don’t you just love NYC?!! It’s definitely one of my favorite cities in the world. Although it was still a bit chilly last week, Springtime is especially beautiful. It was so much fun biking through all the different neighborhoods, seeing the trees start to bloom and eating my favorite foods along the way. Freemans (it has the cutest entrance embedded in an alley), Doughnut Plant (THE BEST doughnuts of all time – whether you prefer vegan or not!!) and Jack’s Wife Freda (must try the Cantaloupe Mimosas!) are a few that are pictured in this post. Looking back I can’t decide if it was harder biking down Broadway without a bike lane or walking through SoHo in high heels?? Both are pretty challenging but something you must do if you are in New York. It was so much fun and I cannot wait to go back and do it all again :)

Last week we were back in Vegas for another work conference. It was such a quick trip, so I didn’t get to explore or take as many pics as I wanted. However, we were there long enough to let little Santino enjoy some desert sun and for us to get dressed up for a night. Even though it seems everyone else is super casual, I still like to use Vegas as an excuse to get a little glam. I was most excited about my new Miu Miu gold glitter peep-toe heels!! Miu Miu is one of my favorite brands – especially the shoes :)

Because we travelled with Santino, we couldn’t stay at the Wynn where the conference was. It’s so stupid… People act like they’ve never seen a chihuahua in a casino before. Anyway, this time we tried the Four Seasons, which turns out it is actually just a few of the top floors in the Mandalay Bay. Who knew? They were super accommodating and Santino even made a few furry friends, too!

Even though it was quick trip, it was nice to get away for a couple days. We are back in Houston, so stay tuned until our next adventure…

XO!!

It’s that time of year when the weather is warming up, flowers are blooming and many bloggers are traveling to Coachella for the official launch of festival season. I, however, just kicked off conference season!! Maybe not as chic and fashiony, but I’ll make do. Our first stop was in Scottsdale, Arizona. (This was the same conference we were at last year where I had a couple posts A to Z
and Phoenix Photo Diary.)

While Fletch was busy discussing toxic torts, I was able to explore a little with Santino and snap a few photos of our beautiful hotel The Phoenician.

Although it was a work trip, Fletch and I were able to make the most of the time. We had a wonderful veggie burger, got in some pool time and hiked up Camelback Mountain. I was hoping to do a really awesome yoga pose once we reached the top, but ended up just taking a break on a rock. Oh well… I had to conserve my energy to get back down!

Thanks for reading. I’ll be posting from our next conference very soon. Have a wonderful week!!

As many time as we have traveled to LA, it seems strange that we never made it down to Palm Springs. It’s a good two hours away, but still really accessible. No excuses… This trip was long overdue. Luckily there was a conference there a couple weeks ago, so we had an opportunity to go. It was a wonderful trip and the weather was just perfect. Santino especially enjoyed it – he is a desert dog, after all!

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Rancho Mirage. It is super nice for humans, but more importantly, it’s very pet friendly. As you can see from the pictures, Santino made himself right at home – even at the pool!

My favorite memory was when Fletch and I went on a hike through the desert. Somehow we managed not to get lost and I didn’t fall off the side of a mountain. I came close when I was trying to be cool and do some yoga poses on a top of a rock, but somehow I stayed grounded.

Here are a few outfit details:

Hot Pink One-Piece Swimsuit by Tori Praver. You can get it here or here.
Black Tassel Trim Tunic by Salt Swimwear, available here.
Multiprint One-Piece Swimsuit by Nanette Lepore, available here.
Gold Gorjana jewelry, here and here.
Celine Sunnies – I’ve had these for years, but you can get similar here.
For Love and Lemons Midnight Crop Top and Mini Skirt, see previous post.

Also, I had some pretty good beauty buys for this trip, so stay tuned… I’ll be sharing soon. Have a wonderful weekend :)

While in Palm Springs, I wore one of my favorite looks from For Love and Lemons. You all know I am a huge fan and have shown lots of pics in this brand in previous posts. This little lacy, two-peice number called the Midnight Crop Top and Midnight Mini Skirt, was the perfect look for a nice dinner with the hubby.

Normally, I would never wear, much less post, something like this. I’m waaaay too self-conscious about revealing my midsection, but who cares, right? I need to quit being so uptight about stupid stuff and let these insecurities go. Weirdly, it gets easier as I get older. You think it would be the other way around?? Anyway, it was fun to get out of my comfort zone and have a fun night out. It also kept me from overeating at dinner, so I guess if nothing else, it was good for that reason.

The crop top, skirt and necklace are available at my store and it also comes in blue!!
As always, thanks again for reading. Hope you all have a wonderful week :)

This is another outfit from my last trip to California. The dress is a variation of the Antigua Mini Dress (which my hubby calls my ice figure skating outfit) that I posted about while I was in vegas last year. Now, the Antigua Mini Dress and Maxi Gown come in many colors, but I couldn’t resist it in sapphire. I almost never wear this color, but I think it is so beautiful. I paired it with my favorite nude sandals and layered some silver necklaces.

Have a wonderful week, and thanks for looking :)

It feels good to be back on the blog! Last week my hubby and I were in LA for work, so we decided to make a long weekend out of it. We drove down to one of our favorite spots on the coast of Newport Beach. It is gorgeous there and I hope to share many more pics soon. One of the days I wore my For Love and Lemons Goddess Maxi Gown. I didn’t feel so much like a goddess, maybe more like a witch, but either way I loved it!! I added lots of layers of silver necklaces and my super chunky YSL booties to complete the look. Complete out fit details below:

We had such a lovely time in Paris and here are many of the pics I shared via Instagram while we were there.

After a long delay and even longer flight, we arrived to Paris very tired and a bit jet-lag, but after a quick nap, we were ready to go! We ate lots of sweets and drank too much RosĂ©, but we were also able to get a lot of work done. It was a wonderful trip, and I’m glad I had the opportunity to go again.

I’ll post more later on places to eat, things to see, what to wear, etc., so feel free to send me any questions you may have. I just wanted to share some of the snapshots from our adventure.

Au revoir!
